How to Clean Your Big Green Egg

1. REMOVE REMAINING CHARCOAL

When your Big Green Egg is cold, stir the remaining charcoal so any remaining ash falls to the bottom so that it’s easy to remove all usable charcoal. It’s best if you have a paper bag or bucket to hold the charcoal.

2. REMOVE THE GRID, FIRE RING AND FIRE BOX

These pieces are very fragile, so be careful when you remove the Grid, Fire Ring, and Fire Box from your Big Green Egg.

3. CLEAN OUT THE ASH

After you get all of the pieces of your Big Green Egg removed, you will find the remaining ash at the bottom of your Big Green Egg. We would recommend using a shop-vac if you have one available. If you do not have a shop-vac available, you can still complete this step.

4. CLEAN UP THE GRATE AND FIRE BOX

Remember to be careful cleaning these items because they are fragile. The main thing you need to check is that any dust is off of these items and the holes are all clear. Airflow for your Big Green Egg is crucial so please make sure these are clear of any debris.

5 .REASSEMBLE YOUR BIG GREEN EGG

You made it…see that wasn’t too difficult right?
