Lighting the Big Green Egg can take a little practice. There are many methods, but one of the most straightforward is to place your lump charcoal inside the fire box, stacking it in a way that allows air circulation. You can accomplish this by stacking your lump charcoal in a pyramid shape. Next place 2 or 3 all natural charcoal starters in the pyramid. Leave the dome open and make sure your draft door is also wide open. Light the starters. Wait 10-15 minutes and you should have a raging fire going. Next close the dome, and adjust your daisy wheel until you reach your required cooking temperature.
